About Bridget Apfeld

Bridget Apfeld is a writer, teacher, editor, producer, and pancake connoisseur.


Bridget holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Notre Dame and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  She serves as Associate Editor for Carve ​Magazine, and beams online education over the internet as a Production Associate at the University of Texas at Austin. She also works as a writing coach and consultant for WriteByNight, a writers' service for working and aspiring authors. 

Born and raised in Wisconsin, she's gone from Lake Michigan shores to the beaches of North Carolina, and is currently calling Texas hill country home.  

Bridget's fiction, poetry, and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in various print and digital journals including So to Speak, Brevity, Midwestern Gothic, and The Alaska Quarterly Review.
